Two Pitt women's soccer players selected in NWSL draft, along with five from Penn State

For the first time in program history, the Pitt women’s soccer team had two Panthers selected in the National Women’s Soccer League draft on Friday. Fifth-year forward Amanda West was taken with the 36th pick in the third round, 56-picks overall, by the Houston Dash while forward Landy Mertz (Upper St. Clair) was selected in the fourth round at the 52nd overall pick by the North Carolina Courage.
