It’s not often a team shoots 36% from the field but still manages to win by a 14-point margin. That, however, was the case for Pitt men’s basketball on Wednesday evening, as it leaned heavily on a gritty defensive effort to grind out a 62-48 victory against Purdue Fort Wayne in nonconference play at the Petersen Events Center.
