Show Me the World Project, a non-profit organization based in St. Louis, is thrilled to announce its 10th anniversary special event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Latte Lounge HG Eatery.

This milestone celebration will highlight the remarkable accomplishments of over 135 students who have benefitted from the organization’s transformative programs, which include immersive travel experiences to Central American countries, the development of entrepreneurial skills and an in-depth understanding of biology.

With a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning, entrepreneurship, and encouraging cultural awareness through at-home learning and global travel, students benefit from in-depth, hands-on learning that has a profound, lifelong impact.

Since its inception a decade ago, Show Me the World Project has been dedicated to empowering and inspiring young minds through educational journeys across Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panamá, and other Central American destinations.

“We are incredibly proud to mark our 10th anniversary, reflecting on the significant impact we have had on the lives of more than 135 students. We are grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years,” said Samantha Lurie, co-founder and Executive Director of Show Me the World Project.

Through these unique travel opportunities, students have not only discovered the beauty and diversity of different cultures but have also gained valuable insights and skills.

One of the key aspects of Show Me the World Project is the focus on entrepreneurship. Students have been encouraged to explore their creativity and have successfully created their own apparel lines, showcasing their unique designs inspired by their travel experiences. Additionally, they have ventured into the world of business by establishing their own coffee brand, providing a platform to promote fair trade and sustainable practices.

Co-founder and St. Louis born entrepreneur Sylvester Chisom explained, “Through our programs, we have witnessed remarkable growth and transformation in students, as they embrace new cultures, develop greater confidence and develop entrepreneurial skills that will last a lifetime.”

The 10th anniversary special event will be a celebration of the students’ achievements and a showcase of their entrepreneurial endeavors. Attendees can expect an engaging program that includes student presentations, interactive displays, and the opportunity to purchase student-designed apparel and delicious coffee from the non-profit’s coffee brand.
