Marty L Ward founded the Confidence Builds Success Academy, Inc 501c3 (CBSA) in 2015, with a vision to Make bullying obsolete and civility a way of life around the world. Our vision is to provide communities with the knowledge to create harmonious relationships and access to clean water for healthy minds and bodies.”

Right now, Marty needs 19 more water filters to reach the goal of bringing 48 additional water filters to Kenya and Uganda this March. One filter can provide 300 gallons of clean water per day for up to 10 years; which means safe, clean drinking water for nearly 21,600 more children. While there, she also will be training 100s of teachers, pastors, parents, and grandparents in the TAG 4 Change Method (Talented, Able and Gifted).

Marty began training Pastor Buni Alex of Uganda via the Internet in the TAG for Change Method of treating everyone with dignity, civility, and respect in 2015. He had found her book Get Clear, Get Confident, Get Going on a pile of books to be burned in Tanzania, Africa. Pastor Buni said, “I was bullied too, and your book changed my life. I wanted to know more.”

As of January 2020, with Pastor Buni’s leadership and the outstanding team in place, the TAG for Change Method is taught in over 54 schools and 21 churches impacting 79,981 children, teachers, parents, grandparents, and pastors. Corporal punishment is no longer used, but instead, children are guided to know how Talented, Able and Gifted (TAGs) they are.  There is a decrease in the dropout rate of 66.4%, so schools are hiring teachers and an increase in church attendance, so churches have more resources to care for their petitioners.

In addition, through the generous support of community members, CBSA has a Scholarship Program for children to go to school. Right now, 29 children are happily at school, off the streets and safe from human trafficking, a huge step towards making those children’s dreams come true!

Through the generosity of The Knights Hospitaller Club – Knights of Malta, CBSA’s Clean Water Initiative has been expanded to now include a water catchment system.  CBSA is proud to be among the humanitarian projects of the Knights of Malta. They are a non-governmental association whose purpose is to carry out and promote humanitarian activities and for charitable purposes in over 120 countries.

The installation of the catchment system this March will provide access to clean water for 7,000 members of the Kayunga community. This installation is also made possible by collaborating with other international organizations –  The Waterbearers and the Uganda Water Project. Members of the Kayunga, Uganda, and CBSA team will help in the building of the system.

For a short while, donations will be matched by the Evnin Foundation, so a donation can have TWICE the impact. To donate and for more details, please visit  https://confidencebuildssuccessacademy.com/water-filter. Be a part of giving children hope and a chance to have healthy minds and bodies.
