About Ellen Moseley-May

Ellen Moseley-May is an author, speaker, coach and artist residing in Livingston, Texas. She is the author of “Surviving a Murder” a story of forgiveness. Most days you can find her sitting outside her studio on her deck with her brush in hand and her pup curled up at her feet because, let’s face it, creating art is always better with dogs. Ellen is mostly known for being a beach obsessed gypsy soul with a love for crazy clothes loaded with color, art, Jesus and gymnastics.

People often refer to her as the girl who jumps in with two feet and never thinks about whether she will be able to swim. She built her first business, “Moseley Gymnastics,” thirty-three years ago with the $350 she received in gifts for high school graduation and a fearless desire to change lives. Many people will tell you she is extremely opinionated, but also incredibly driven, inspiring and motivating. She loves serving the world by encouraging others to grow personally, spiritually and professionally without sacrificing their authenticity or integrity. You could say, she’s a cheerleader to the world.

The things she is most passionate about in life are: Jesus, who drives her every dream and vision, her family and making memories with them that will last longer than her life here on earth. Art, because she not only loves to create it, but she loves sharing with others how they, too, can tap into their own creative spirit. YES, she believes we all have one. She loves to build up and encourage people to believe in themselves and the dreams they have. Ellen also has a deep passion for exercise and nutrition because of her belief that self-care and self-love are key to living a happy and balanced life.

When she is not busy painting or creating custom handmade gifts in her studio, you can find her teaching life skills to her students through the sport of gymnastics. As a coach of thirty-five years, she has been named Coach of the Year and honored as an Outstanding Graduate of her former high school for her contributions to her community. That notwithstanding, as often as possible, you can find her traveling with her hubby in their motorhome to as many beaches as possible and collecting sea shells and sea glass to use in many of her art creations, or teaching her grandson, Jackson, the joys of art and Jesus and how to worship with the gifts we are given.

Ellen’s greatest desire is to leave a feeling of belief in everyone she meets and to be able to spark in them a desire to follow their dreams and live whatever life makes them shine the brightest. She believes if she can do that, then she’s fulfilled her purpose.
