Lifestyle News News Room

New York – Tanya Paul Lediaev Shubin’s life is a reflection of perseverance and faith. Born on December 5, 1942, in Rahmatabad, Persia (now Iran), to Russian parents who escaped persecution during the Russian Revolution, Tanya carries a legacy of courage. Her family migrated to the United States in 1949, where Tanya was raised and became a proud American citizen. A graduate of Garfield High School in Los Angeles, she went on to marry Alex Mike Shubin, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Together, they raised four children and welcomed ten grandchildren and one great-grandson, Noah.

Her journey to authorship is as remarkable as her life story. Despite early doubts about her potential, Tanya cultivated a love for reading the Bible, which became the foundation of her faith and purpose. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, she collected poetic reflections and sayings over the years. At nearly 82 years old, Tanya felt called to bring these inspirations to life, culminating in the creation of Well Watered Garden.

Rooted in Isaiah 58:11, the book invites readers to walk through a garden of wisdom and faith, offering heartfelt insights and encouragement for all.

Reflecting on her life, Tanya says, “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that God would make a diamond out of a rugged stone like me. He had a plan all along. Through Well Watered Garden, I pray that my children, grandchildren, and future generations receive the faith that has carried me through.”

Well Watered Garden is a powerful reminder that God’s plans transcend time, challenges, and age. Tanya’s journey from a remote Persian village to becoming a published author is a testament to His promises in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to give you hope and a future.”

The book is available now on Amazon.
