Lee Thomas, former MLB player and architect of 1993 NL champion Phillies, dies at 86

The Phillies’ last-to-first, 27-win turnaround resulted in their only playoff appearance in a 23-year span and netted MLB Executive of the Year honors for Thomas in 1993.
