In an era when digital devices dominate daily life and children have lost the experience of free play due to being glued to screens, Rebel Therapies introduces an innovative solution aimed at reducing screen addiction and restoring family relationships.

Founded by Munur Shah, a concerned parent and entrepreneur with a degree in Business Management and Psychology, Rebel Therapies offers a unique 5-week interactive live course to create parent/guardian coaches: First, the course helps the adults, then they learn how to have ‘the’ conversation with their children and how to guide them to taking control over their screen time.

But Rebel Therapies goes even farther by providing comprehensive coaching, mentoring and therapy services with a holistic focus on well-being to reclaim family relationships which have been harmed by screen addiction, whether this is through gaming, social media, shopping, pornography, or constant doom scrolling.

At the core of this heartfelt mission is the founder’s own experience with screen addiction: When Munur Shah realised he was so engrossed in his phone that he lost precious time better spent with family and friends, he wanted to understand why he was so addicted to social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, as well as to playing games. As he also noticed that his own behaviour was rubbing off on his children and creating similar patterns in them, he set out to combat this screen addiction. Once he had found deep insights and effective techniques to take back control, he started to develop a program to address the pressing need of other parents and guardians of children to make significant behavioural change and reduce the addiction to screens for themselves and their children.

With its unique combination of science-based and practically tested behavioural models and the “Jedi mind tricks” of NLP techniques, Rebel Therapies provides a systematic approach and a strategy that can work for any parent, guardian, teacher and caregiver anywhere in the world.

In order to reshape the relationship with screens and technology in a healthy, long-term and sustainable way, the 5-week course, a combination of science, practical challenges and interaction is applied to teach parents, guardians, teachers and caregivers of children of all ages to become aware of when, how and why they are being pulled into the addictive nature of screens. Then, the attendees are coached to take back control and choose consciously when and how long they use their screens, creating long-lasting positive change and new relationships with technology. In a second step, the program trains the attendees to utilize their new skills to create massive change for their children in their care, through non-intrusive and non-confrontational techniques.

To provide specialist services tailored to the nature of the client and the problems they are experiencing, Rebel Therapies has trained psychotherapists, child psychologists, accredited coaches, NLP practitioners, mentors and alternative therapy specialists in its team.

This year, there are 3 opportunities to join the course. Spaces are limited to 35 participants per course. The starting dates of the course are:

Thursday 26th September @ 19:00 BST (British Standard Time)

Saturday 9th November @ 10:00 BST
