Whether it be hockey or basketball, the PPG Paints Arena hasn’t seen many more exciting finishes than what Allderdice and its star senior guard Logan Golle provided Wednesday night. With the score between Allderdice (5-1) and Fox Chapel knotted at 48 and just 1.2 seconds to play after a timeout, Golle used a pick to break free, received an inbounds pass, and let his shot fly from 6 feet beyond the 3-point line. The ball hit the backboard, bounced on the rim, and eventually made its way through for 51-48 win at the Pittsburgh Holiday Classic. Golle was mobbed by teammates on the PPG Paints Arena floor as the final buzzer went off.
